Supporting Competitive School Sport in Wolverhampton

The Wolverhampton Association for Sport in Primary Schools (WASPS) exists to promote physical activity and competitive sport within the City’s primary schools. With the support of ConnectEd Partnership, we endeavour to bring new opportunities to children and young people across the city.

A range of competitions across many sports are organised during the year. In addition to competitions taking place during the school day, activities are also organised after school and at weekends.
Activities are offered through two strands:
School Games Competition is available to all schools in the City for FREE and may include qualifiers for Black Country Games competition.
ConnectEd Partnership Physical Activity and School Sport (PASS) is available to ConnectEd Partnership member schools and includes competition, festivals, and leadership opportunities.

WASPS is managed by teachers and ex-teachers, all of whom believe passionately in the power of sport to engage and enthuse children.
