WHAT IS VOLLEY2s?
Volley2s is an adapted 2v2 version of Volleyball which has been developed by Volleyball England to introduce the game of volleyball to children of all abilities and disabilities aged 7-11 (KS2)
Volley2s takes children from an easy to play catch and throw game through four developmental stages (RED, AMBER, GREEN, GOLD) to eventually be able to play 2v2 volleyball using recognised volleyball shots such as dig, set, spike, serve and block.
WHO IS THE VOLLEY2s FESTIVAL FOR?
The Volley2s Festival is for children in Years 2 and 3.
WHAT IS THE FORMAT?
The event will be a combination of 2v2 games and development practices based on Volleyball England’s new resource - Volley2s Guide to Teaching and Coaching. The 2 a-side teams can be same or mixed gender combinations.
WHAT DOES THE GAME LOOK LIKE?
The Festival will be based on Volley2s Red and Amber stages i.e. simple catch and throw. (Follow this link for the rules) This allows children without any previous experience of Volleyball to take part. Let’s learn on the day!

Date:- Tuesday 28th November 2023
Venue:- Aldersley Leisure Village
Times:- 1:30pm to 3:00pm
Teams:- 2 a-side (Boys, Girls or Mixed) A maximum of 4 teams per school
